Abingdon resident Josiah Kamara, 23, is facing charges following a reported Fourth of July stabbing that happened at the Walmart location on Constant Friendship Boulevard.
Members of the Harford County Sheriff's Office responded to an apartment on Monument Circle in Abingdon on Monday, July 4, where there was a reported stabbing.
Upon arrival, investigators said that deputies located a 17-year-old stab victim who had suffered a wound and was outside the building. The teen was treated at the scene by members of the sheriff’s office before paramedics transported him to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation determined that the stabbing happened inside the Abingdon Walmart on July 4 following a verbal altercation that escalated, resulting in Kamara allegedly stabbing the teen with a folding knife, according to the sheriff's office.
Following his initial interview, Kamara was transported to the Harford County Detention Center, where he is being held without bail.
No charges have been announced by the sheriff’s office.
The investigation into the stabbing is ongoing.
